Description
This is a stunning vintage all original 1940s cocktail diamond ring – with approx. 3 1/2 carats of diamonds. It is very large like a cigar band – measures 24mm tall by 24mm wide (diamond portion) so it covers the whole finger. The back portion though is 3.5mm so it is very comfortable to wear. Stamped 14KT it weighs 12.6 grams. Diamonds are calculated as follows:
14 round single cuts set in prongs along both top and bottom in a swirl approx .05 points each – 16 single cuts pave set approx. .035 point each – 8 rectangle bagguettes approx .12 points each – 4 single cuts set in the marquise shapes approx. .05 points each – 2 .03 point single cuts – 4 .03 point single cuts set on the ends of the marquise shapes that have the larger stones – 4 round European cut diamonds each approx. .25 points each.
Diamonds are all very white – G color and all the single cuts are VS clarity. The european cuts are H color, SI quality. All eye clean.
Size 7 1/2 with a little play from upper shank being curved so could fit 7 3/4-8 depending. Can be sized. It has been cleaned and polished and its ready to gift or wear. It’s a looker!
